    History

In 15 BC, the Romans began to build a fortified connection across the Alps to the borders of the Roman Empire on the Danube. Only 60 years later, under the Emperor Claudius, this huge work was completed. This created a rapid military supply and a new trade route between the Adriatic and the Danube. Today the Via Claudia Agusta is experiencing a new flowering cycle path. It is not just a piece of European history, but a fascinating, diverse nature experience.
